Committee Descriptions

Advanced CREW Experience (ACE) Committee
The Advanced CREW Experience (ACE) Committee’s purpose is to promote member-to member relationships and networking opportunities with value added, unique event experiences. ACE plans and hosts three to four members only events each year, providing members with exclusive opportunities for behind-the-scenes CRE industry experiences, professional development and impactful industry insight. All Committee members are actively involved in organizing each of the events.

Communications Committee
The Communications Committee functions as the marketing and communications powerhouse behind CREW Atlanta, focused on enhancing the image and credibility of the organization. The Communications Committee positions CREW Atlanta and its members in a positive and professional manner through a network of communication tools, including: media outlets, marketing collateral, website, CREW blog, social media and CREW in Review.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee
The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee is dedicated to promoting and embracing diversity, equity and inclusion at the chapter level. The DEI Committee will engage in informative dialogue, listen with humility, seek to understand, and take action to identify and eliminate barriers that may prevent qualified members from joining and/or participating in leadership roles of CREW Atlanta. The committee will leverage the resources made available by CREW Network’s DEI taskforce and engage with chapter leadership, membership and other committees to support growth within the Chapter. DEI provides frequent communications to membership and offers learning opportunities in partnership with other committees and outside CRE minority-focused organizations.

Events Committee
The Events Committee coordinates events for CREW Atlanta that bring both CREW members and non-members together, providing a fun forum for relationship building and networking. The events are intended to create awareness of CREW and to give back to charitable organizations that the CREW Atlanta chapter supports. Typical events include: the annual Golf Tournament and Dine-Arounds.

Finance & Governance Committee
The Finance and Governance Committee's mission is to elevate the governing structure and procedures of the organization, secure its financial health, and educate the Board of Directors and our members on both. The purpose of the Committee is to assist the Board of Directors in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities with respect to the administration and monitoring of CREW Atlanta's governing documents and financial resources, including monitoring the financial health of the organization and ensuring the organizations by-laws and policies and procedures are current, consistent, and followed.

Leadership Committee
The Leadership Committee is responsible for organizing and orchestrating a bi-annual Leadership CREW class comprised of approximately 15-30 CREW members. The mission of Leadership CREW is to provide an opportunity for the members of CREW Atlanta to examine the issues affecting their roles and advancement in organizations and to shape strategies for their development as individuals, professionals and leaders. The program runs for one year and entails class members participating in monthly whole day leadership classes featuring dynamic speakers who are considered to be leaders. The Leadership Committee establishes a new Leadership CREW class every other year, allowing one year in between each class for planning the program. The Leadership Committee is also tasked with planning and hosting Leadership alumnae gatherings throughout the year to foster a deeper connection among the Leadership alumnae and to provide additional networking and leadership opportunities. You must be a CREW Atlanta Leadership alumnus or alumna to participate on this committee.

Membership Committee
The Membership Committee focuses on growing, strengthening, and engaging the membership of CREW Atlanta. This Committee is pro-active in its recruitment of new members as well as the retention of CREW’s existing members. The Membership Committee coordinates multiple events throughout the year to promote CREW’s recruitment and retention efforts, including: New Member events; CREW Committee Expos; CREW CARES initiative, which acknowledges members coping with difficulties or major life events in an equitable, caring, and professional manner; Wine & Writes to send cards to members for birthdays and anniversaries; and CREW Connects, which hosts regular small groups for members to network throughout various submarkets. In addition, the Membership Committee facilitates the Renewal and Retention process, coordinates volunteers for the CREW programs and events to greet new members and guests, and coordinates the CREW Awards and Recognition initiative, which is where we share the successes and advancements of our CREW Atlanta members.

Professional Advancement & Community Engagement (PACE) Committee
The PACE Committee is responsible for increasing members’ awareness of the benefits, goals and activities of CREW’s global organization, CREW Network. The Committee is tasked with student outreach, mentoring, Network fundraising and networking with other CREW chapters. The CREW Atlanta PACE Committee’s UCREW program, focused on student outreach, has been recognized both locally and nationally as innovative and impactful. Committee members may be asked to serve on a Network Committee or special task force within CREW Network. Members of the Committee are encouraged to attend CREW Network Regional Conferences and Global Convention. The PACE Committee is chaired by one of two CREW Atlanta Delegates, who represent CREW Atlanta by attending all CREW Network Regional Conferences and Global Convention, and by corresponding with CREW members in other Chapters to maintain high-visibility for CREW Atlanta on a global level. PACE also encompasses CREWHype, which is a young professionals initiative, and CREW Careers, which is a high school student initiative.

CREW Atlanta’s Chapter Champions are Subcommittee Leaders under the PACE Committee. They are responsible for educating our membership on all CREW Network Foundation initiatives plus reaching the Chapter Challenge.

Programs Committee
The Programs Committee is responsible for the content of CREW Atlanta programs, including the Economic Forecast and the CREW Atlanta Empowerment Speaker Series. Current topics, dynamic speakers, and an emphasis on featuring exceptional players in the Commercial Real Estate industry result in programs that stimulate, inform and inspire our members and their guests. The Committee brainstorms and develops cutting edge themes, secures speakers and panelists with relevant expertise, works with those individuals to shape the content of the discussion around the interests of our membership and industry, and provides input as to unique program locations to complement each topic.

Sponsorship Committee
Each year Sponsorship Committee members reach out to our diverse commercial real estate community in the Atlanta area to obtain sponsorship funding for corporate and event support. We are proud of the companies who support our organization and take seriously our commitment to support and promote them at every opportunity available throughout the year. In addition to obtaining chapter sponsors, this committee is responsible for ensuring that our sponsors are receiving all the benefits associated with their sponsorship.
